They are designed for participation rather than speed. Teams move at an appropriate pace, use different strengths and work together to complete the route before cut-off time.

On foot or by eBike

Both formats combine checkpoints, local knowledge and practical team challenges. The best choice depends on your group size, location and the kind of day you want to create.

For groups from 10 to 200+

Amazing Race on Foot

Teams navigate a mostly flat urban route, reaching checkpoints and completing challenges that draw on communication, observation, creativity and Kiwi ingenuity.

It is competitive without being a sprint. Teams need to manage their time, make decisions and keep everyone involved on the way to the finish.

Recommended duration: 2 to 2.5 hours
Locations: Auckland, Wellington, Waiheke and other locations by arrangement

Amazing Race by eBike

Teams travel between checkpoints by eBike, completing local, knowledge-based and practical challenges along the route. The bikes take much of the physical strain, but participants must be able to ride safely.

We provide time and support for riders to become comfortable with the bikes before setting off, and routes are selected with safety and group confidence in mind.

Recommended duration: 2 to 3 hours
Locations: Auckland and Waiheke
Included: eBike hire, safety equipment, facilitation and prizes

A challenge with a community contribution

Our Amazing Races can include collecting non-perishable goods for donation to a local community organisation. It gives teams an additional shared purpose and turns their effort into something useful beyond the event itself.
