You've seen the televised versions of Amazing Race with teams of people racing around the World, reaching check points and pit stops and completing mini challenges on their way to the finish line.
Well this is our New Zealand version! Teams of people work together to complete the route and the activities before cut off time. The challenges are location specific and we run them in Auckland City, Wellington Waterfront, Waiheke Island and other locations by arrangement. They are designed for groups of all ages and abilities and 100% inclusive, encouraging all group members to accomplish the challenges at a pace and level to suit them.
Our Amazing Race challenges are socially responsible too as we build in a charity donation challenge into the events which means that at the end of each challenge we are making a donation of non-perishable foods to local charities for distribution in the community.
Each challenge can be custom designed to meet your companies needs and that can include adding in components that reflect your company values, vision and priorities.
There are two types of Amazing Race challenge with details provided below.
This ‘eco-friendly’ challenge is competitive, entertaining, and great for inspiring your team to get out, have fun and learn from each other in a different environment. Includes walking, pit stops and checkpoints (like in the Amazing race), general knowledge, history, social skills, a big dose of fun and a bit of kiwi ingenuity!
Your team do not have to be super fit to do this challenge, as it is not a race to the finish line. Most of the route is on flat terrain around the waterfront but we can move it to other locations as needed.
What's more, when you take part in the amazing race on foot you'll be making a charitable donation by way of collecting goods that are donated to a local community support charity. In a small way, you make a big difference.
Duration: flexible according to your requirements but we recommend between 2 and 2.5 hours.
Suits groups from 10 people to over 200
This ‘eco-friendly’ challenge is competitive, entertaining, and great for inspiring your team to get out, have fun and learn from each other in a different environment. Includes cycling (of course!), pit stops and checkpoints (like in the Amazing race), general knowledge, history, social skills, a big dose of fun and a bit of kiwi ingenuity!
Your team do not have to be super fit to do this challenge, as it is not a race to the finish line and the e-bikes will take the strain of the ride along the way, but you do have to be able to ride a bike! We give full support to help those who have not been on a bike in a long time to get comfortable, happy and confident with the bikes before they set off on the challenge.
If you've never ridden an ebike before, that's no problem at all. They're easy to ride and so much fun, you'll never want to ride a push bike again!
The cycle route is mostly on dedicated cycle lanes, some of which are brand new. Where there are road sections, we provide advice to ensure safety taking into account other road users and pedestrians. On Waiheke Island, in particular, we run the activity to stay away from busy main roads and use cycle lanes as much as possible.
Duration: flexible according to your requirements but we recommend between 2 and 3 hours.
Suits small groups of between 5 and 25. For safety reasons we choose not to take larger groups on ebike challenges at the same time.
Price includes your ebike hire, safety gear, full facilitation, presentation and prizes.
